When visiting Arizona, many people tend to visit places that are well known, such as Tuscon, Phoenix, and even Globe. Located just six miles north of Tuscon AZ and 110 miles south of Phoenix, Oro Valley has a population of 43,000 full time residents that enjoy many different types of activities, such as golf, hiking,horse back rides, and camping.Oro Valley is located at the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains just north of this range are the Tortolita Mountains. Both of these mountain ranges offer many great hiking and camping spots where you will find many isolated places that you can camp. But none of these sites will offer any sort of hook ups. When you are driving though Oro Valley, you cannot help but notice the sheer beauty of the mountain ranges.

Oro Valley has many very nice motels that offer everything that you could want when searching for a place. And if you choose to park at a RV park, you will not be disappointed in any way.While the temperature may be a little on the warm side during the summer months, Oro Valley does at times get a few inches of snow and rain. The warm weather and the constant sunshine is what makes Arizona the number one place to visit.For those of you that love to watch wildlife, you will find that Oro Valley has wild animals that can be seen at any time of the day or night. While the wild life might be charming to watch from a safe distance it is advised not to approach them.Along with plenty to do and see, you should not miss out on seeing some of them most beautiful sunrises and sunsets ever. Be sure to bring your camera with you when ever you leave your motel room as there will be so that you will be sure to have memories to last you a life time.
