Finding a notary public isn't that difficult to do, as notary publics are everywhere. With that said, if you have a legal document that needs to be signed, witnessed, and notarized all you have to do is head to your nearest notary public and have them do their thing. Not sure where to find one? Don't fret. You can do so with a simple internet search. Just go to your favorite online directory, type in notary public together with your zip code, and you should be effectively pointed in the right direction. Notary publics are very accessible and are usually open during business hours (sometimes even later) so you should be able to located one fairly quickly and easily. If you're not sure about their hours of operation, call them first to see if they're available. You don't usually need an appointment to see a notary public, but that may be required in some cases so when in doubt just ask. You are after all dealing with legal documents, some of which could be time sensitive so it's always best to be safe than sorry. There is an array of papers and documents that need to be notarized. These include certain immigration documents, specific real estate documents, and docs that pertain to power of attorney. These documents, once notarized can be taken to court.
